AAA is reviewing our inspection processes and Diamond designation guidelines based on changes throughout the hospitality industry. We intend to take a flexible and compassionate approach and will ensure that Diamond designations are not unduly impacted during this time.
With that in mind, we are excited to announce that our inspectors have returned to the field to meet with hotel partners across the country, engaging in advocacy conversations. Instead of on-site inspections, these visits will allow us to hear directly from the operators how they are adapting to new realities due to Covid-19 and their business recovery. We are only completing inspections on request and in compliance with local community requirements.
When the time is right, we will be resuming our traditional, unannounced inspection process to continue to deliver the best travel information to our 60 million members and travelers around North America.
